For November’s spotlight, we’d like to introduce Tracy Chase – Bellwyck Pharma Services’ Clinical Sr. Project Manager at our Burlington facility. Tracy has been with Bellwyck for more than 16 years and has been an integral part of Bellwyck’s clinical team.
We sat down with Tracy to discuss her experience in the clinical packaging field.
Here’s what Tracy had to say:
What does a typical day at Bellwyck look like for you?
My day starts with checking email and adjusting my planned tasks when my priorities for the day have changed (which usually happens).
The rest of my day usually involves preparing proposals and change of scopes for packaging and logistics activities, communicating with clients and colleagues, coordinating document specs and approvals, reviewing production schedule and timelines, problem solving and troubleshooting.
What is your favourite part of your day?
Whenever something executes exactly as planned!
What do you like most about working in the clinical packaging industry?
I like being involved in the development of pharmaceuticals that can potentially treat or cure debilitating diseases and symptoms.
What do you find most challenging about working in the clinical packaging industry?
I find that one of the most challenging things about working in the clinical packaging industry would be navigating regulations that are open to interpretation and opinion.
What is the best advice you were ever given (work, life, success related)?
You are responsible for your own success. Don’t expect that opportunities will be handed to you or are owed to you.
